It can easily handle at least 6000j impact strength and is rated for use with .308 caliber rifles.

2) Will it fit on a 40mm scope?

 Our XL 4.0. is a standalone scope and fits guns of all sizes.

3) How far can you see in total darkness?

The built-in IR illuminator with three adjustable IR levels ensures clear visibility up to 400m/1312ft in darkness and more than 3280ft/1000m in daylight. 

4) Does it comes with instructions?

No, it’s not a regular torch. The built-in IR flashlight is equipped with 940NM IR with no visible red dot and the same brightness range of up to 300m.
